Agreement between Government in Pakistan and TLP
The standoff between the government in Pakistan and the banned radical organization Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan has ended after 12 hours of talks. The task of pacifying the TLP, which was adamant on the release of its chief and the expulsion of the French ambassador from the country.
It was done by a team of negotiators set up by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Imran had met Muslim scholars and sought their cooperation in resolving the deadlock between the government and the TLP. National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ali Muhammad Khan, religious scholar Mufti Munibur Rahman, TLP leaders Mufti Ghulam Abbas Faizi and Mufti Muhammad Amir were also present at the press conference.
