The lack of semiconductor is going to be expensive. Due to this there will be a delay in getting delivery of cars, there is a possibility of increasing prices. The world's leading automobile companies are temporarily shutting down production in factories in Asia, Europe and North America.

The supply of semiconductor was already less than required. The problem deepened at the end of last week, when a large semiconductor chip manufacturing company Renesa's plant, caught fire. Due to this, semiconductor supplies to companies like Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen AG and Honda Motor have been disrupted.
