Six automatic stations will be built in the state to check vehicle pollution

Chandigarh | Haryana government will set up six Automated Testing Stations (ATS) to reduce air pollution and improve transport services in the state. This information was given by Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal in a meeting called to review the ban on 10-15 year old vehicles and compulsory use of smog guns. The Chief Secretary said that automated testing equipment to test vehicles more accurately and faster than manual testing and this saves time as well as costs.

It was told in the meeting that in compliance with the order of NGT, a campaign has been started in Gurgaon and Faridabad till March 1, 2023, in which 2,411 petrol vehicles older than 15 years have been seized and registration of 354 vehicles has been cancelled. The Chief Secretary directed the DCs of Faridabad and Gurgaon to find out the gap in anti-smog guns and submit their report within a month. Ensure continuous and effective use of adequate number of anti smog guns in construction works and demolition projects.
