The Hollywood writers' strike; Many TV shows will be closed, delay in films
Washington | More than 11,500 television and Hollywood film writers in the US entertainment industry went on strike on Tuesday. The writer and the studio are again face to face after 15 years.
It also has writers associated with old studios like Disney, Paramount and new companies like Netflix, Amazon, Apple. The writers demand that the studios make permanent contracts, while the studios say that when the work is not continuous then why make regular contracts with the writers. The writers have done this strike just before the completion of their 3-year contract. Writers say studios want them to be gig workers.
