1.19 lakh fraud from ITBP jawan's credit card
An ITBP jawan became a victim of online fraud. A case has been registered against an unknown person in the Cyber Crime Police Station. Complainant Abhimanyu Kumar is living in ITBP Camp Headquarters, Western Command Bahlana. In the complaint filed, he said that an unknown person used his credit card details and committed a fraud of Rs 1.19 lakh. According to the information received, the complainant was issued a credit card from a bank in April. He did not use it. However, on August 11, he came to know that someone had withdrawn money from his credit card by making two transactions in July. At the same time, the bank was pressurizing him to return the money while the complainant said that he has been cheated. Police is engaged in investigation. In another case of fraud, Sector-17 police station has registered a case. Complainant Jai Chand, a resident of Yamuna Nagar, said that Rs 4 lakh was taken from him by the Overseas Entry Visa Consultant of Sector-17 in the name of getting a visa. Neither the visa was issued nor the money was returned. Police have started taking action against the accused.
