A total of 15.68 crore vaccines have been planted in the country so far. Of these, 86 thousand people are 18 to 44 years old, who were vaccinated on the first day of the third phase.
The Health Ministry said that on the first day, vaccinations of 18 to 44 years of age started in 11 states. These included Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. The total number of vaccinations in the country till 15 am on May 2 stood at 15.68 crore. Of these, 94.28 lakh health workers have received the first dose and 62.65 lakh have received the second dose. 1.27 crore frontline workers got the first and 69.22 lakh got the second dose. 5.32 crore people aged 45 to 60 years have got first, 40.08 lakh second and 5.26 crore over 60 years have been given first and 1.14 crore second dose.
