5,424 patients with fungal infection in 18 states

After being notified in the epidemic law, various states have started sending information of patients suffering from Mucoramycosis i.e. Black Fungus infection to the Central Government. So far 18 states have sent a list of 5,424 patients infected with black fungus to the Union Ministry of Health. Of these, 4,556 patients have developed fungal infection after being infected with corona. Giving information about the latest status of fungal infections in the country, at the 27th meeting of the cabinet group on Corona, the Union Health Minister said that its maximum patients are 2,165 in Gujarat and 1,188 in Maharashtra. Apart from this, 663 patients have also been found in Uttar Pradesh, 590 in Madhya Pradesh, 339 in Haryana and 248 in Andhra Pradesh.

He said that diabetes is being said to be the most responsible for fungal infections and this is also confirmed by the data. Among those infected, 55 percent are diabetic patients. By the way, Harsh Vardhan did not say how people who do not have diabetes, they became victims of fungal infection
