Amazon filed a petition in the Supreme Court in the future-reliance case

Amazon has moved the Supreme Court against the Delhi High Court’s decision in the Future Group and Reliance deal. Future Retail gave its information on Wednesday. The single judge bench of the Delhi High Court refused to proceed with the deal. Later the Division Bench of the High Court stayed the decision of the single judge’s bench. Amazon has filed a petition in the top court against the decision of the division bench. Reliance has finalized a deal to buy Future Group’s retail business for Rs 24,713 crore. Amazon is opposing the deal, citing its stake in a Future Group company.

Future Retail told the stock exchanges that the company’s lawyers had received information in this regard on April 13, 2021 from Amazon lawyers. Amazon has filed a special leave petition in the apex court against the March 22 decision of the division bench of the High Court. Future Retail has said to contest and stand trial in the case.
