America: Power crisis in 14 states, 5 million people in darkness only in Texas

Many states of America are currently battling a severe winter with a snowstorm. Along with this, the power and energy crisis has caused havoc on the people in the freezing winter. Indeed, the crisis stems from grid seating governing the southwestern power pools in 14 states ranging from North Dakota to Oklahoma. This led to the implementation of energy emergencies in these states. The situation is even blackout. The worst is from Texas. There are about 50 people facing the darkness. These include homes to business institutions. Behind this crisis, oil and gas scarcity due to the lack of maintenance due to the cold, the demand is being said to rise rapidly due to winter. In fact, the production of 1 million barrels of oil and 10 billion cubic feet of gas in Texas has been stopped due to the pipeline froze. The vaccination process is also being affected due to continued heavy snowfall. Troubles have increased in medical centers and hospitals. 3000 flights are being canceled across the country. In view of the state of energy emergency in Texas, President Joe Biden has promised to provide as much help as possible.

On the other hand, the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has said that the situation is very difficult. On the other hand, in Mexico also, 47 lakh people remain in darkness for 14 hours after sitting on the grid. However, it has restored power to 65% of the place.
