Campus placements of IT companies are at their lowest in 20 years
During the financial year 2023-24, which ended in April, the country's IT sector had the lowest campus placements in the last 20 years. The biggest reason for this is being cited as the preference for experience and special skills in the recruitment of new employees in the corporate sector. According to a study by Aon PLC, companies are now being more cautious in campus placements than before. Some companies are stopping campus hiring and many corporates are making fewer appointments. However, in these companies, the recruitment of internships, experienced employees and special qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is continuously increasing. This study is based on data from a survey of 250 organizations on campus recruitment practices.
