Social Media is a game changed and can impact a film

Recently a song from a film Khaali Peeli starrer Ishaan Khattar and Ananya Pandey “Beyonce Sharma Jaayegi” has received backlash from the audience. Just in a week, the song got more than a million downvotes. Since they were receiving so much criticism, they altered the song to Beyonse Sharma Jaayegi. However, social media still did not stop and the makers had to finally change it to Duniya Sharma Jaayegi. 

Although the makers were in no mood to change the song, it happened because of the impact of social media. Since the influence of online outrage has become so severe these days, it has gained the power of changing anything. 

Not just this movie but an earlier film of Pati Patni Aur Woh has also faced the same situation where the makers had to change a dialogue about marital rape and also asked for an apology. Similarly, a film starrer Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao’s mental hai kya has changed their movie named to Judgemental hai kya. 

Recently after the sad demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, his last film named Dil Bechara has received a lot of love from the viewers and as a result, the trailer of the movie became the most liked film trailers on YouTube ever. 

Similarly, the opposite happened with the movie starrer Alia Bhatt, Sadak-2 and Gunjan Saxena starring Janhvi Kapoor. Their film trailers has received million of dislikes on YouTube. 

It happened because of the power of social media. The film makers had also changed the title, dialogue, song and many more things including the star cast because of the impact of social media these days.

Indeed, social media outrage has become a game-changer for cinema.
