Election Commission will Cooperate to Identify People for Vaccination Campaign

The Election Commission has assured the government of full help in the vaccination campaign. The polling station will assist in identifying the beneficiaries of the vaccine. According to sources, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla wrote a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora was requested to help in identifying beneficiaries above 50 years of age. He assured the commission that the data would only be used for vaccination. In response, on 4 January, the Commission wrote to Bhalla that it would extend its full cooperation. But the data should be deleted after vaccination.
Sources said that the final voter list will be used for the election to give priority to the population above 50 years of age. 12 identity cards, including voter ID card, Aadhar card, driving license, have been validated for the vaccine.
