Former Himachal Chief Minister Shanta Kumar’s wife dies from Corona

Santosh Selja, the wife of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar, died on Tuesday due to Corona. He breathed his last at four in the morning at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College and Hospital Tanda.

Santosh Selja was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure along with being infected with Corona for a few days. His last rites were performed at Nala Mandir Ghugghar following the rules of COVID-19.

Chief Minister Jairam Thakur reached Palampur from Shimla and expressed condolences at Shanta Kumar’s house as soon as he received the news of his death. Shanta Kumar is also corona infected and undergoing treatment at Tanda Hospital.

Two days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, and former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal called Shanta Kumar and asked for Kushalakshme.
