Chandigarh | The new collector rates will be implemented in the state from December 1. The rates are likely to increase by 12 to 32 percent. These collector rates are being implemented late due to elections. However, the process for these was going on for a long time. These rates will be applicable till March 31, 2025. These collector rates will be implemented only on the basis of the report received from the DCs of all the districts. These include collector rates for every area of every district. Registration of properties takes place on the basis of these. ACS Anurag Rastogi of the Finance Department said that the collector rates will be implemented from December 1. The district administration decides the collector rate in every district of the state. According to sources, in the proposals sent by the Deputy Commissioners to the state government, it has been recommended to increase the collector rate of land by 12 to 32 percent. However, the reality will come out only after the rate is increased. There are chances of filling the government treasury due to registration of land at the increased collector rate. It is decided on the basis of market value in different areas of different cities.
