Indian Railways has announced to start another service after Covid lockdown. The Railway Ministry is going to resume the e-catering facility for passengers from February, the Railway Ministry has permitted IRCTC for this. The passengers will now get food when booking orders while traveling in trains again.
It is starting from a few selected railway stations in the country. Due to Corona epidemic, the railways had to stop all services along with the train. With this facility of IRCTC, travelers can order their food from favorite restaurant online. At the time of ordering, passengers will be told at which station and in what time their mile will arrive. The passenger will not need to go anywhere, the food will be delivered to their seat.
Railway Ministry permitted Rail Restro, an e-catering service authorized by IRCTC, has been approved by the Ministry of Railways. Rail Restro is set to start work from the end of this month. For this, the company has given strict guidelines, including thermal scanning of restaurant staff and delivery personnel at various times during operation, cleaning the kitchen at regular intervals, use of protective face masks or face shields by restaurant staff and delivery personnel.
