Microsoft is aware of the potential that Zoom had and wants to take away the last advantage it had. This new feature will attract Zoom fans to Microsoft Teams. A new all–day video call option arrives that can be used for free.
While the software giant launched Microsoft Teams for consumers on mobile earlier this year, it is now taking Teams friends and family to the desktop and the web. This allows us to create a Microsoft Teams meeting for up to 300 friends and family that can run all day for free.

Microsoft Teams want to convince Zoom users
We don’t need a Microsoft account or the Microsoft Teams app to join calls, since we can join for free through any browser. Teams will also support viewing up to 49 friends or family members in a gallery view. Or through its Together Mode feature that puts you side by side in a virtual environment.
On the occasion of thanksgiving just a week away. It’s clear that Microsoft is positioning teams as a way for families to connect virtually during the pandemic. That is particularly relevant, since officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have recommended that people do not travel for thanksgiving and other holidays. Zoom rose in popularity earlier this year after thousands of people turned to the video call service. To connect with coworkers, fellow students, or even friends and family.
Team arrives a little late but, by offering calls without time limit and an easy-to-use web application. It seems that Microsoft is offering the best way (until it imposes limits) to connect with friends and family for free. Zoom has its own 40-minute limit, which the company will temporarily eliminate. Other competitors such as Google Meet (60-minute limit) and Cisco Webex (50-minute limit) also have similar restrictions. Microsoft had been trying to project Skype Meet Now for this before, but everyone has forgotten that Skype exists.
To start as a meeting host, all you need to do is visit the new Microsoft Teams web link and sign in with a Microsoft account. Once you have created a video conference, you can simply share the link with friends and family, and they can join through the web for free without the need for a Microsoft account.
