Ladli Behna Yojana: Empowering Women in Madhya Pradesh In a significant move to empower women in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced an increase in the amount received under the Ladli Behna Yojana. The scheme, aimed at supporting the welfare of women in the state, will now provide an increased amount of Rs 1,250 per month, up from the previous amount of Rs 1,000. This announcement was made during the "Laadli Bahna Sammelan" organized on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan at Bhopal's Jamboree Maidan.
During the event, the Chief Minister transferred an amount of Rs 250 directly to the accounts of 1.25 crore sisters in the state with just a single click. This gesture not only symbolizes the government's commitment to women's empowerment but also serves as a special gift to celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan.
In addition to the increased financial assistance, the Ladli Behna Yojana also released the Ladli Behna Calendar during the event. This calendar serves as a reminder of the government's dedication to the welfare and progress of women in Madhya Pradesh through Ladli Behna Yojana. Furthermore, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made an important announcement regarding the closure of liquor shops in areas where a majority of the sisters express their disapproval of their presence.
This decision reflects the government's commitment to addressing the concerns and preferences of the women in the state.
The Ladli Behna Yojana has been instrumental in promoting the welfare and empowerment of women in Madhya Pradesh. By increasing the financial assistance provided under the scheme, the government aims to alleviate the financial burden on women and enable them to lead better lives. This initiative not only supports the education and skill development of women but also contributes to their overall well-being.

Ladli Behna Yojana Eligibility

1) Must be a local resident of Madhya Pradesh.
2) Must be married, including widows, divorced and abandoned women.
3) Should have completed 23 years and less than 60 years of age as on January 01, in the calendar year of application.

Ladli Behna Yojana Ineligibility

1) Whose family's combined self-declared annual income is more than 2.5 lakhs.
2) Any member of whose family is an income tax payer.
3) Any member of whose family is employed as a regular/permanent worker/contract worker in Government Department/Undertaking/Mandal/Local Body of Government of India or State Government or is getting pension after retirement.

Benefits of the Ladli Behna Yojana scheme

1) An amount of Rs.1000/- per month will be paid to each eligible woman in her eligibility period in the applicant's own Aadhaar linked DBT enabled bank account.
2) If a woman of a family below the age of 60 years is receiving less than Rs. 1000/- per month under the Social Security Pension Scheme, then that woman will be reimbursed up to Rs. 1000/-.



How to Apply for Ladli Behna Yojana
1) For applying online, applicants will have the facility to fill the "form of information required for the application" in advance. The above forms will be available in the Camp/ Gram Panchayat/ Ward Office/ Anganwadi Center.
2) The entry of the above-filled form will be done online by the designated camp in-charge in the Camp/ Ward/ Gram Panchayat/ Ward office and a printed receipt will be given for each successfully registered application. This acknowledgement will also be received by the beneficiary through SMS/Whatsapp. Anganwadi workers will cooperate in the said process.
3) The entire process of filling the application form will be free of cost.
4) It will be necessary for the applicant woman herself to be present at the above places so that her live photo can be taken and e-KYC can be done. For this, it will be necessary for the woman to bring the following information
5) Complete ID document of the family
6) Own a complete ID document
7) Own Aadhar card

Publication of provisional list - After the last date of receipt of applications, the provisional list of applicants will be displayed on the portal/app, the printout of which will also be pasted on the notice board of Gram Panchayat/ward level.

Receipt of objections – Objections on the displayed provisional list will be received for 15 days through the portal/app. Apart from this, the objection can also be given to the Panchayat Secretary/ Ward in-charge in writing or through CM Helpline 181. The objections received will be entered on the portal/app by the Panchayat Secretary/ward in-charge. The objections received in writing (offline) will be stored in the advance action register and uploaded online.
