Newton’s handwritten articles to be auctioned

The handwritten writings of the world’s greatest scientist, Isaac Newton, will be auctioned. The auction is being conducted by the UK-based company Christie’s. It may be of interest to know from his writings how his brain worked.

In next month’s auction, the company expects these articles to sell for $8.5 million to $1.3 million (about Rs.6 crore to Rs.9.5 million). These articles are in relation to Newton’s natural mathematical theory in 1687.

Thomas Venning, head of books and manuscripts at auction company Christie’s, has said that the first edition of the book was auctioned for $3.7 million (about Rs. 26 crore).
