Pakistan objected to two hydroelectric plants in India

Pakistan has reservations about India’s Pakal Dal and Lower Kalnai new hydroelectric plants. Its representatives can file a formal objection to the Indus Water Commission meeting in New Delhi next week. Pakistani Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Chaudhary has indicated this.

Chaudhary has said that Pakistan will discuss a number of issues related to the Indus Water Treaty including objections to both hydroelectric plants. These projects are an attempt to curb the waters of Pakistan. The construction of the plants is a violation of the Indus Water Treaty. India should stop manufacturing them. Pakistan should give its fair share of Indus river water.
