Production of iPhone 12 started in India, manufacturer not yet disclosed

The world’s largest company Apple has started manufacturing the latest iPhone 12 in India. The company has said that this is part of its strategy to expand the manufacturing base in the world’s second-largest smartphone market. However, it was not told which of its partner company is producing iPhone 12. According to sources, the Indian unit of Taiwan-based contract manufacturing company Foxconn has started production of iPhone 12 at its plant in Tamil Nadu. However, Foxconn has not confirmed this either. On Thursday, Apple released a statement saying, “We are starting production of iPhone 12 in India for local customers.” Actually, Apple is shifting some part of its China-based production base to India.
