India and France will conduct a joint exercise with Rafale warplanes in Jodhpur in the third week of January next year, amid a border dispute with China. This wargame is given the code name Skyros (SKYROS).
Government sources said on Tuesday that the Rafale jet aircraft of the French Air Force will arrive in Jodhpur for Skyros Wargame. In addition, Indian Rafale and SU-MKI warplanes of the 17th Squadron in Jodhpur participated in the demonstration of this battlefield has been deployed.
The Indian Air Force is organizing the wargame for the first time after the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi inducted Rafale into the Air Force in August this year. Sources said that the war game now happening will be different from the regular Garun series between India and France for decades. During this time some fighting skills will be seen from both sides. India did a major exercise with the French Air Force in July 2019.
