Records in Manimahesh; Two lakh devotees arrived in two days, it took 2 hours to cover the distance of one kilometer
The religious place Manimahesh is situated at an altitude of 13000 meters above sea level. For the first time, 2 lakh devotees took a dip in the Dal Lake built here on Janmashtami in two days. This time the Yatra is being considered as Garam Nhaun (early arrival of Janmashtami), hence despite the rain, a new record of devotees has been made on Manimahesh Yatra. For the first time, it took 1 to 2 hours to cover the walking distance of 1 kilometer from Hadsar to Manimahesh. There was a long jam on Chamba to Bharmour road also. Some travelers who returned from Manimahesh Yatra told that the foot path built from Hadsar to Pavitra Dal is very less wide at some places. After this, there will be a bath on Radhashtami on 11th September. SDM Kulbir Singh Rana said that more than two lakh devotees have arrived on Janmashtami in two days.
