Saina in quarter finals of Orleans Masters

Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal has reached the quarter-finals of the Orleans Masters. Saina, seeded fourth in the world rankings, beat Mari Betomen of France by a margin of 18–21, 21–15, 21–10. Saina won the match in the 51st minute. This was Saina and Betomen’s first encounter. India’s Ira Sharma also reached the quarter-finals. Ira defeated Bulgaria’s Maria Mitsova 21-18, 21-13. Ira won in just 32 minutes. Ashwini Ponnappa and N. Sikki Reddy also reached the quarter-finals of the women’s doubles.
