Sooryavanshi and Eternals bring back the glory of cinemas
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty stayed for almost a year and a half for the theatrical release of his film Sooryavanshi. He expected that the business that his film would do from theatres, would not be earned by releasing it on a digital platform. To a large extent, this hope of Rohit seems to be fulfilled. Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif opened on the first day of Rs 26 crore at the box office. At the same time, the film has earned more than eight crores overseas. Sooryavanshi was the first big-budget film among Hindi films to be released in theaters after the lockdown opened in the last one and a half years. Many trade analysts had earlier said that now a bigger film is needed to attract the audience to the theatres. Sooryavanshi has managed to bring the audience to the theatre. On the next day of Diwali i.e. on November 5, Suryavanshi was released in 3519 theatres. At the same time, this film has been released in 1300 theaters globally.

Giving competition to a big film like Sooryavanshi, this superhero film directed by Chloe Zhao earned 8.75 million on the first day.
