TATA Snatches the Largest Business Tycoon in 6 Months from Reliance Group

In July last year, Reliance Group, which became the largest business house in the country by beating the Tata group, could not stay on top for six months. Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Group now ranks third in terms of market value. On the other hand, Tata Group stellar performance of its flagship company TCS and now has become the largest business house in the country. At the same time, HDFC Group has become the second-largest group in the country due to the rise in financial stocks.
However, Reliance remains the largest company in the country. The total market cap of 17 listed companies of Tata Group in July 2020 was Rs 11.32 lakh crore. , While Reliance’s market cap was Rs 13 lakh crore. Reliance’s share prices continued to rise until September and Reliance’s market cap crossed the record level of 16 lakh crore on 16 September. But after this, Reliance shares started falling and now its market cap is Rs 12.22 lakh crore. Meanwhile, due to the boom in Tata group companies Tata Motors and Tata Steel, and TCS, the group has a total market cap of Rs 16.69 lakh crore which is around 36% higher than Reliance Group.
