Xbox Series X / S highlights with release in 2021

Halo: Infinite

Halo Infinite – The first gameplay is finally here!

  • Genre: Shooter
  • Series X / S release date: 2021
  • Current Gen Release: 2021 (Xbox One)

At the launch of the Scarlett, the latest part of what is probably the most popular Microsoft exclusive series will start directly. In Halo: Infinite , the Master Chief returns to the screens after more than five years of abstinence.

This is what the game is about: Developer 343 Industries calls Halo: Infinite a “soft reboot” , so the series dares to restart in certain areas. In Infinite, the Master Chief lands on a new halo ring and has to deal with the aggressive exiles. Halo Infinite relies on more exploration, significantly larger areas and an equipment system that includes a grappling hook that can be used in combat and for movement. In August, Microsoft and developer 343 Industries announced that the game originally planned for launch should only appear in 2021 .

Fable – First trailer heralds the return of the RPG series

  • Genre: RPG
  • Release date for Series X / S: not yet known
  • Release for Current Gen: not yet known

Rumors of a return to the Fable series have been around for a long time, and they were confirmed at the Xbox Showcase in July 2020. The role-playing game is being developed by Playground Games, who were previously responsible for the Forza Horizon games.

Again we go into a fairytale world in which we experience a wide variety of adventures. The name already suggests that Fable is a kind of restart for the series, so it wants to appeal to both connoisseurs of the series and newcomers.

Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga

  • Xbox Series X / S release date: 2021

Hellblade 2 was announced at the Game Awards 2019 and is coming to Xbox Series X.

The setting is Iceland, but not much more is known about the sequel. In the trailer we see the heroine Senua again, so it is obviously a direct continuation of the dark action adventure. The game is being developed for the next gen Xbox, the trailer above shows in-game material.

Forza Motorsport

Resident Evil: Village

Resident Evil 8: Village – Dark announcement trailer features Werewolves & Chris Redfield

  • Genre: horror
  • Release date for Xbox Series X / S: 2021 (also for PS5)

Resident Evil: Village is the title of the next offshoot of the legendary horror series and, like the remakes for Resident Evil 2 & 3, will be developed in Capcom’s in-house RE Engine and no longer have loading times, as the developers have already confirmed.

This is what the game is about: As we have now learned from the publisher, the plot of Resident Evil: Village begins seven years after its predecessor. Ethan and his wife Mia moved to a new place after the terrible events. But the peace doesn’t last long. After the appearance of Resi character Chris Redfield, the couple’s lives are shattered. In which way, we will probably only find out about the release.
