'Emergency' makers agreed to Censor board's suggestions, asked for two weeks to make changes
After entering the field of politics, Kangana Ranaut is going to play a strong character for the first time in the politically based film Emergency. There was a buzz about the film for a long time, but the controversy that happened after the trailer was out, put a stop to the release date of the film. When the trailer of 'Emergency' was released, the Sikh community accused it of misrepresenting the scene of Indira Gandhi's assassination and historical facts. Due to the controversy, the CBFC did not give the certificate to the film and the matter reached the court. Finally, Kangana Ranaut and Zee Entertainment have agreed to cut the scenes of the film. Kangana has asked for two weeks to make changes in the scene. The film will reach the CBFC after editing and after re-testing, the film will be given a green signal. It has become clear that after two weeks Kangana can announce the new release date of the film. The political drama film has been directed and co-produced by Kangana. Actors like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Bhumika Chawla will be seen playing important roles in the film. The film is based on the Emergency imposed in the country in 1975. Apart from this film, Kangana will also be seen in the film 'Tanu Weds Manu 3'. R Madhavan will also be seen in the lead role with her in this film. The shooting of the film can start by mid-2025. Apart from this, Kangana and Madhavan have come together for a psychological thriller film after almost 8 years. AL Vijay has taken over the direction of the film.
