For the first time, medical tests of Haj pilgrims will be conducted in Amritsar
Amritsar | In the year 2025, 325 people from the state will go for Haj to Mecca Medina in Saudi Arabia. 20 people from Amritsar will be included in this. All of them were medically tested at the Civil Hospital on Wednesday. Women are also included among these pilgrims who came for testing under the leadership of State Haj Committee member Mohammad Yusuf. Their tests were conducted and certificates were issued on the initiative of the hospital's SMO Dr. Swarnjit Dhawan. Mohammad Yusuf said that earlier the tests used to be conducted in Malerkotla but this time the state government has provided this facility in Amritsar as well. He thanked the government and the hospital staff. The testing process was completed by Dr. Sumitpal Singh. Mohammad Yusuf accused the central government that Haj pilgrims do not get government help. Earlier, one lakh rupees were given per pilgrim.
