Sony has introduced Pulse Elevate, its first wireless desktop speakers designed for gamers and creators, promising immersive, high-fidelity sound when paired with devices like PS5, PC, Mac, and smartphones.

The new Pulse Elevate speakers use planar magnetic drivers and integrated woofers in each unit, aiming to deliver full-spectrum audio that’s accurate and expressive. Sony says the speakers are engineered to reproduce sound as developers intended, with support for its Tempest 3D AudioTech in compatible PS5 titles.

A standout feature is the built-in microphone in the right speaker, which comes with AI-enhanced noise rejection. This design aims to allow clear voice chat without needing a headset—especially appealing in desktop gaming setups.

For connectivity, Pulse Elevate employs PlayStation Link, Sony’s ultra-low latency wireless technology. It enables seamless, lossless audio between the speakers and devices. The speakers also support Bluetooth, allowing users to connect a second device (like a phone or TV) alongside a PlayStation Link source—so one can route game sound via Link and music or calls via Bluetooth, simultaneously. A USB-C PlayStation Link adapter is included for setups without native support.

Despite being desktop speakers, they include a built-in rechargeable battery, making them portable. Users can pick them up and use them with mobile devices or the PlayStation Portal handheld, then recharge via the included charging docks when returning to a desktop setting.

The speakers also feature intuitive controls and orientation flexibility, allowing for horizontal or vertical placement. Through PS5 or PC menus, users can adjust EQ, mic mute, sidetone, and volume settings.

Pulse Elevate is expected to launch in 2026, available in Midnight Black and White (white limited to availability). Sony has not yet disclosed pricing or regional availability, but the launch is anticipated to appeal to gamers and creators seeking a premium audio upgrade for their workstations and gaming rigs.
