Six Die in Sampson County House Fire
SAMPSON COUNTY – Six people were killed early Saturday when fire destroyed a home in Garland, the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office said.
Emergency crews responded to the home, at 522 Gibbs Road, shortly after 1 a.m. The home had been destroyed by the time firefighters arrived.
The names of the people killed and their relationships to each other have not been released.
Sampson County officials said Saturday that there were no indications of foul play, but an investigation of the fire is ongoing. The cause of the fire is unknown.
The State Bureau of Investigation and ATF agents are assisting Sampson County officials with the investigation.
