Ludhiana Gyaspura gas leak: NGT investigation started, statement recorded
Ludhiana | An eight-member fact-finding committee constituted by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday began its investigation into the death of 11 people due to the poisonous gas leak. The team talked to the victims and other people for about 3 hours at the accident site on Sua Road in Gyaspura and gathered many facts. Statements of Gaurav, the injured person in the accident and the young man running a dhaba just in front of the accident site, rescuers and eyewitnesses were also taken.
The head of the panel Dr. Adarsh Pal appealed to the people that if they have any kind of information related to the accident, then give it to the committee. Dr Vig said the panel would prepare a report so that such accidents do not happen in future. The samples were taken by the NDRF team on the day of the accident. The NGT team is waiting for their report.
